B-Pillar and Outer Floor Extension Patch Panel Question
Beginning my cab repair and I pulled my rockers today to see what was underneath so I know what patch panels I need to order. I need typical stuff...a-pillar patch, lower kick panel patch and the outer floor extension patch to fix the other edge of the floor and the rocker closeout that is rusted out in places.
My problem is that my can corners and the b-pillars are actually in great shape, but the cab floor is slightly rotted about and inch or two aft of the b-pillar. So when I install the outer floor extension, it will have to go past the b-pillar, but I do not see a way of doing that without cutting out the b-pillar and maybe the corner? Any advice? My current thought is to try and cut the b-pillar only a couple inches up and try to leave the cab corner in place and that might give me enough room to get at and cut the outer floor past the corrosion. Pics below.
