Doug's D300Y Header Fitment
Are any of you running Doug's Tri-Y headers on your k10's or v10's? If so, please let me know how they fit for you.
I picked up a set of D300Y's for my engine build, when i installed them last weekend the passenger side has very little clearance between the frame and the leaf spring hardware. The driver side is perfect. I've installed new engine and motor mounts. When i called to speak with Doug's they said they're made with a rigid jig and its very unlikely to be a mistake in fabrication. I figure Doug's has a long list of excuses they can use to get out of the fitment problem. I spoke with Jegs and they told me I could exchange them but I'm stuck with the return freight charges. I'd like to keep them , as i spent several weeks making the decision. Suggestions anybody? passenger 1 - front of truck at bottom of photo. not much clearance between spring and header tube passenger 2 - front of truck to right of photo. header is against the frame / suspension bumper passenger 3 - front of truck at bottom of photo. very little clearance between header & frame passenger 4 - front of truck to left of photo. frame to header clearance passenger 5 - front of truck at top of photo. better photo of header / spring. |
