TH350 removal. Engine rotation

Hi guys,

My TH350 is now removed. The truck is jacked up in the air and I would like to have it down while looking for an other tranny.

The engine is resting on a concrete pile by the oil pan to avoid too much angle during the tranny removal process.

My problem is that I am not able to jack the car higher to remove the concrete pile because if I do so, the engine start to rotate again and is about to break the distributor cap.

So my question is : Do I have to leave the car truck up there waiting to get the new tranny installed or is there a way to stop the engine rotation? Will it even stop if I remove the distributor?

Thanks and sorry for my english

Engine : 350
