anybody running a pintle hitch?

My current bumper is pretty much trashed, and I need to install a pintle hitch. DOn't get me wrong, the bumper is OK for towing and such, but it's got a couple rust holes on the top, it's a "step" style.

Anyway, in the summer, I tow Howitzer cannons for my school, and it's just around the campus (for retreat parades and the like), but I've currently been using their Dodge M37's for the task. Now that I'm not a student anymore, I can't use them, and since I got this truck, my old officer still wants me to do it for him. I can't use a ball for them because they use the ring type hitch requiring at the minimum a ball and pintle hitch.

I've found a few online with the cheapest being about 45 bucks. Does anyone have any manufacturers that they prefer? I'd be using a Curt hitch if I have my choice because I've always been partial to their products and I get them at a steep discount. Anyone have any thoughts on Curt products as opposed to others?

EDIT: The hitch would only need to hold about 200 lbs tongue weight and tow a total of 1800 lbs over some rather rough trails (not rock climbing or anything, but mud and sand would be the words for the day as well as some fairly steep hills).
