Help - need to separate a Dana 20/30 TC from an SM465

This entire unit is on the floor and I am selling the whole front assembly (TC/shaft/diff/axles/hubs/springs/etc.) but am saving the SM465. All bolts on the back of the SM465 are out but the trans does not want easily to separate from the TC housing. This is the setup (older) where there is a shaft housing between the front of the TC and the rear of the transmission. The TC shifter bracket is attached to the side of this housing.

I can get a small wedge between the two and gain a bit of movement, but do not want to force the situation unduly. Is there some sort of snap ring or other attachment inside that housing that connects the trans output shaft to the drive of the TC?

I also can remove that housing from the TC end - a few bolts. Is that needed?

Any info/advice on this will be appreciated. Guy is coming tomorrow to pick up the TC and other parts - I need to rescue the transmission by then.
