'65 Suburban in Arizona

Hi, Ive been lurking here for a couple of years, dreaming of getting my suburban back on the road. I found the inspiration here.

I bought my suburban in 1969 in Az. w/22,000 miles on it,it was the only vehicle i owned for 25 years. I put around 260,000miles on it. Then it has been parked since.

I have my truck running and its licensed and insured, but just about everything needs some attention. Brakes are bad, carb leaks, steering is loose,it overheats in stop and go and uphill driving, but at least i can drive it on short trips around town.
The truck is mostly still original and i hope to keep it that way.
I hope to get lots of good info here and get my sub dependable and fun to drive.
