Another carrier bearing question

I'm sorry for asking another one of these questions, I've read other threads on the topic and have heard no definitive answer. So I've got a stock suspension, lwb 72 and I've had to replace the carrier bearing twice in about 20,000 miles. I've still got the stock drive shafts and everything. They always break at the mounts on top of the frame with everything else in good shape. Would switching to a billet bearing as opposed to the stock one do me any good or do I have some other problem that is causing me to break the bearings? Thanks for any advice!
