Cowboy caddy needs longer front drive shaft...?

Howdy guys and gals,

When we got the caddy, the front driveshaft was out and we'd like to get the 4WD back online for the comin winter season. I believe the shaft was too short to work effectively with the significant lift that is on the vehicle.

How do we determine the correct driveshaft length? Can we have the existing shaft modified once we're able to determine the proper length? Any suggestion or info is much appreciated.

Thanks!

-Heather
