CPP frame mount booster/master issues

Did a search for others using the CPP frame mount booster and had no luck. I'm having issues getting it to fit. There is an adjustment rod but, to get it to bolt up to the arm, the arm has to be pushed up to the point it makes contact with the floor. I also have contact with the arm and the entry hole in the floor. I'm making the floor hole bigger but, should I cut the adjustment rod down so that I can bring the arm off the floor? Surprised CPP would mass produce a or that does not fit.
