1970 Suburban

I just became the caretaker for a 1970 Suburban that I got to ride in a few times as a kid (in the late 80s and into the 90s). The truck is known as Dino the Dinosaur (like the flintstones' pet). Originally Dino was purchased by the American Museum of Natural History in NY, who painted a Dinosaur on his side, then was sold to a family friend of mine who works for the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC. He's used Dino for field work in North Central Wyoming for the past 20 or so years. He (the PO) passed Dino's keys to me so I can keep Dino alive. I don't plan on getting too crazy with Dino, just addressing a few restoration items and a few resto/mod upgrades, mostly trying to preserve Dino's utility and making Dino enjoyable for my family and friends. Dino has a facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/dinotheC10Suburban/ Ill be digging into this forum for info and posting updates here and on FB for the build/preservation.
