What is a good replaement Rear Axle for 70 GMC C2500?

I have a 1970 GMC 3/4 ton 4x2 with a Dana 60 rear axle with leaf spring suspension.
The axle housing is damaged, spun a bearing on the right rear. What is a good replacement as I cannot find another Dana 60. I know the perches and shock mounts will have to be modified. Would something like a 2007 with disc brakes be a good option or stick with drums? My Dana 60 is dismantled so now I don't know the width of it.
