Big block choke spring question
My choke spring doesn't seem quite strong enough to pull the assembly down into full choke & high idle when cold, so I ordered a new one.
In short, big block ones pull down when cold and small block ones push up. Oddly, though, my old one pulled down at the back - the spring opening in the little cover was at the rear, towards the firewall. The new one was clearly intended to go towards the front. So that's how I set it up. My question is what's original - is the little square opening in the choke coil cover toward the front or rear? This picture is how it was when I received the truck. The new piece says it's for both passenger car and truck.
