Awesome, I think his reasoning in removing the marker light was because of how the body line drops toward the rear of the bed, if he was to take out a 12" chunk of the bed more forward of that the body line would be pretty hard to float the difference, also you would have a weld seam in the middle of the bed side. Where he did them on mine, they are pretty symmetrical and don't really stand out. I am making a die to stamp the marker light back in.

I see, make sense. If you're making a die, have you seen the one 65standard made for his shortbed conversion, here? Looks like it works nicely.
