Floorboard not flat?

I am working on the cab of my '56 and notice that the floorboard slopes down about halfway between the seat mount and kick-up. See the light under the straight edge.About a 1/2" gap.

Is this normal? I am thinking that the front cab mounts are pushed up making the floor convex. The floor is relatively solid with a small section of rust through on the passenger side.

Let me know your thoughts and if I need to fix it.
Thanks
