Following. I cleaned my brand new headers and sprayed them with VHT 2000 deg paint. I cured them by starting and warming them to harden the paint. They looked good for a couple months, but are now starting to flake off.
It would be great if the POR paint would work, but I think the steel gets too hot, and won't dissipate the heat like the cast iron manifolds.
