Vent Window help

Guys-
I'm jumping in head first and trying to replace the rubber on my vent windows with pop rivets. Ive read a few posts and it looks like it can be done
My question is since most knock off the two rivets adjacent to the tubular pivot rivet; do I need to take the two rivets off at the top of the window to change the rubber?
Ive circled the areas in question. At the top of the vent window there are two rivets.
I only removed the two near the pivot rivet.

Any ideas?
