1968 C20 Carb to EHI Swap - Good Idea?

Hi All, new to the site. I have a 1968 Chevy Fleetside with 160,000 miles on it. I call her "Blue Jean". It's a 327 small block with an Edlebrock 4Barrel carb, and someone suggested I replace the carb with an EHI. Any thoughts on this conversion? Very expensive? Ease of change over? Any particular EHI unit? Should I just get a good tune up and not mess with this?
