Center Link & Tie Rod Ends

I have been gathering up all the steering parts that I need to re build my Trucks steering frame stuff. My trucks PO's had installed 92 C10 Spindles & Disc Brakes for an up grade but looking at it a little closer and Driving it the Mod's aren't right in many ways so I went and found another Center link that just happened to have all the old ends on it and was measuring it and was also measuring mine to make sure I will have it some what close to being Aligned. The Tie Rod end threaded part that go into the Adjusting Sleeves are a little thicker than the New ones I bought, both of the two my existing one on the truck and also the one I went out and bought. I used my non Digital Calipers and measured both (used ones) and both are the same around .676 just under 11/16". The New one is a Moog part and it measures .625 5/8". So all that said WTF's going on with this. I have looked at 4WD that has a different Tie Rod and the 2WD 1/2 & 3/4 tons are No different same size 5/8". My truck is a 68 C10 LWB, originally had a I6 & Manuel Steering. Sorry for being long winded. Any help would be great, Thanks
