power window & power lock harness photos

photo documentation of power window and power lock setup removal from a 1978 gmc c35...

photo 1: passenger door with untouched wiring (other than door panel removed). labels 1, 2, and 4 are clips into door. label 3 is the ground secured to one of the regulator bolts. both the lock and window wires go through the hole near label 1. labels 5 and 6 are the connectors to the switches.

photo 2: flex duct between cab and pass. door. 4 bolts (they were screws on the driver door). i found it easiest to first remove all the wire connections on the door, then remove the two bolts from the flex duct on the door, then remove the door. that way you can start to pull the loom out of the door while you remove the door and lower it to the ground. the reverse might make sense on the reinstall.

photo 3: loom entering cab on passenger side behind glove box, as seen through the glove box door. there are three connectors here.

photo 4: looking through the glove box still, the loom runs up to the underside of the top of dash where it's connected with one clip.
