Thinking of buying this 72

This is my first post, HI! This truck was bought new by my wifes grandfather. He passed away around 10 years ago and the truck sat in my father in-laws garage since. My father in law wants it out and has asked us if we want to buy it from the family trust. The truck has 78000 miles on it, runs and drives great. They did install new brakes, carb, and radiator a few weeks ago to get it more road worthy. It is a 3/4 ton, three on the tree, 350, and long box which 3/4 ton and long box hurts the value. I have no clue what this is worth. Do you think this is worth $2500? My wife wants it because it was her grandfathers and to give to our sons to drive in a few years. We are in Florida and the truck is in Michigan. I have a quote of $850 to get it here.
