47-55 Door Weatherstriping with Trique Easy Latches
One of the final things to do has been to improve the door fit & overall operation. The Easy Latches were just installed, the doors close perfectly and the shop has made some minor adjustments at the hinges so the fit is better than ever...
...however, we are all skeptical of using the stock weatherstripping again as it had to be removed to make this possible. We're not sure it was installed correctly in the first place. The photos I've attached show two possible positions with the old weatherstrip. I know there is a right way & a wrong way.... but even so, they are too large and won't compress enough. After calling Trique manufacturing and running this by them, they (being aware of the door fit problems with 47-55s) suggested a hollow core product as carried by Soffseal. A call to them & a sales associate referred me to this product: http://www.soffseal.com/store/main.a...tail&item=9971 ....which looks like every stock product out there. Anyway, while I wait for a call back from a tech, any ideas, thoughts??
