Yes, they are called "push lock" style hose ends and basically they just get pressed into the fuel line (made for this application)and are supposed to be ready to go with no need for a clamp.
The tools are to make it easy to press them together rather than doing it by hand (like my cheap a$$)
As for the hose it looks similar to a hydraulic (not the same psi rating) and is fairly flexible
