1966 C10 Disc brakes Question

Had a quick question. I have a 66 C10 2 wheel drive V8 automatic. I want to put front disc brakes on it and use the stock steel wheels. Is there a kit for that for the stock 15 x 5.5 steel rims 6 lug that will work and the brake calipers will not hit the rim?. I was told I need to use the 1973-1987 stock 4x4 6 lug rims to use disc brakes. Is this correct? Are those rims 15 x 5.5 and look the same? I do not want to convert to 5 lug. Let me know. thanks
