Most parts places do carry a bearing that looks like the one I need, but I don't know what size it is and I don't like to guess with $30-40 parts...

There's also no way I'm putting it back together with a broken bearing cage. My luck is that it would fall apart the first time I drive it. These things are (insert a lot of bad words here) nightmare to take apart. If I put it back together it's going to be with new parts

I found another place that specializes in GM columns and sent them an email on the bearings. With as many as these things are rebuilt, I can't believe this isn't "common knowledge".

What about packaging all your parts up and sending them to KevsClassics? I know it would be a bit like giving up and i Know you are a pretty big do it yourself guy. But Kevin is just about the best in the business and you would end up with a GM column thats very safe.
