What's the "best" way?

There's been some discussion on here about what's the best way to make these old rustbucket 52 year old trucks desirable again. Ya, desirable, that's the right word.
Full disclosure, I've had 4 of these 60-66 era trucks since the early 70's when I started driving, they seem to find me, don't know why. So my idea of a great truck doesn't really include any modernization or heavy modification. In other words, I like the sound of the 230 six banger and the SM420 gear whine. Makes me feel at home. Wouldn't/won't change it. Fix it? Ya. Do the best you can with available parts? Ya.
But, to others, these are the new hot rods, like the '32 Fords were to an older generation. And if that's the case, GREAT!.
So all the trucks, from the rustbucket pipe dream junkers to the slammed, down low hot rods and the OEM survivors and everything in between, go for it! May your dreams be real!

Just sayin'.
