Traction bars/ flip kit?

Hello to all. Is adding traction bars another way like a flip kit? Reason I ask is because I'm considering traction bars in my 1978 short bed since I'm doing a LS1 swap and I don't want any wheel hop or warp the diff.. Leaf springs going under the diff made me think that it might be similar or I could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advanced!
