What is this 71 worth?

Hey Guys,

I've been looking for a C10 as a project for my son and I. I came across a 1971 long box that is a project but pretty solid. I am looking for a opinion on what it's worth. There aren't many around for sale so it's hard to tell if his price is fair or way high, seems high to me.

Here is what I can tell you:

- Pretty much rust free for a MN truck.
- Doesn't currently run. Seller says its stuck now but ran 15 years ago when he parked it.
- It has a Chevy 350 and 4 speed manual out of a car. Says he swapped it because of the higher ratios. Doesn't remember what it came out of.
- Has a dent in the roof and needs a windshield.
- Missing all exterior trim, which is OK with me.


Opinions? He is asking $1600, i'm thinking it's more of a $1K truck...
