How to ID a '67 missing the glove box decal and VIN tag

The guy I purchased my truck from had already started working on it and removed the VIN tag from the door jamb for paint work. He handed me the title and VIN plate upon purchase. While I have no reason to think the VIN plate isn't the one for this truck I would like to verify. No glovebox build sheet either. Is the VIN # stamped somewhere else on the frame or cab? Is the truck model build # stamped or chalked somewhere? Lastly does someone sell the correct VIN plate rivets to reinstall the plate?

Thanks,
Steve weim55 Colorado
