Motor Swap?

OK, I've got this motor....

And this transmission....

Motor is an ~03 I think. 5.3 fairly low miles. Transmission is a mid nineties 4L80E. I think from a 4wd.

I'm thinking about putting these two together in my '75 Blazer. It's gonna have to be cheap though.

I've got several questions.
Will the 5.3 PCM (which I don't have) control the earlier generation 4L80E?
Is there a better (ie. Megasquirt, etc) controller for a budget to control both?
The engine and trans will bolt together with a crank spacer, correct?
What will I need as far as keeping the 4wd? I'm not completely opposed to keeping the fulltime, but if changing can be done cheap enough I want to look into it.

I know a big chunk of these questions could be answered by searching, but this way I can keep it all in one place.

Thanks in advance for the help.
