First post and Help about Harmonic Balancer for 250 engine.

Hello everyone here.Been reading allot in this forum and all information.I bought my 1967 Chevy C10 about 20 years ago at an auction for $650.A guy was bidding against me only he wanted the bed.So he passed it up and I got it.I drive it up to a few years ago with a 292 inline six motor and it started smoking. So my ex traded me his 250 inline six for my 1965 GMC body and chassis I bought recently for $500.His buddy put the motor in two years ago.Well he said it still had the smog pump on it and I don't need it.So took it off and used the brackets for the alternator and smaller belt.Had two belts on and now only need one.Problem is the Harmonic Balancer is not pressed on tight. It was only staying on by the belts.I cleaned the HB and painted it.And cleaned where it goes back. There is nothing to hold it in.It doesn't take a threaded bolt. What holds it onto the post?I also have the 292 inline six on a crate and another inline six that I don't know what size.Do I pull the HB off the 292 and use it?
