por15 epoxy putty and Steering wheel

I have been reading about steering wheel repairs. looks like the biggest issue is with shrinking and cracking. Has anyone used the por15 epoxy putty and how did it hold up. My wheel is really badly cracked. Not sure if it is even worth trying to fixing. Is it that material that the wheel is continuing to shrink or is it the epoxy repair that is the issue? Would love to hear from people about their experiences. Has anyone tried using short strand fiber glass body filler?
