Hood mounting

I am still in mock up on my 50 3100 and have the front end loosely mounted. I am told that the key is to get the hood in the right spot and adjust everything else to that.

I have the upper two brackets and bolts attached on each side. I fit in to place and snug them up. All looks pretty good until I put the spring arms on. Once in place and I close the hood, the rounded side of the hood on the passenger side is pushed out by the spring arm a quarter inch or so. The hood does not close properly either as I have to help the back corners back and down.

Did a bit of a search on the forum but not finding the step by step I am looking for.

Any help appreciated
