Gas filler neck box

When I finished my truck, I tried to put gas in it at the station. It would not take it. I tried several different flush mount "necks" before I had to go to the taller one. So I made a box to kinda hide it. I don't really like it, but have no other choice. You guys are experts. How bad does it really look? Be honest.
