Gas tank leak/Dropping tank on a '90 Burb???

On my ’90 Burb, I have a pretty bad gas tank leak when that it’s full. It stops as soon as the level in the tank starts to come off of full. I suspect that the rubber hose(?) from the fill neck to the top of the gas tank is bad or not connected correctly. The connection at the filler neck looks OK so I think the problem is at the tank end.

How hard is it to drop the gas tank in a 90 Burb? Is there any way to reach the top tank/hose connection without dropping the tank down?
