My "New" 1968 GMC C25
Hello all, I'm new here. I picked up a 1968 GMC C25 longbed about two weeks ago. I'll attach a couple of photos so you can see it. It was originally the teal color of the interior, but it looks like it has a replacement bed on it. The bed is in perfect shape, but it was originally light blue before someone rattle canned black primer all over it...
I did the front brakes this past weekend (yes, it took an entire weekend because my local O'Reilly ordered literally every wrong part). When I drove it home from Elk Grove (about 50 miles) two weeks ago it had no brakes; thank God for that granny gear! While I've been working on it I've been pretty surprised to see how much of it remains original. I'd love to hear any thoughts about it. Eventually I'd like to return it to the original teal color, but that's a few years away. It's got the original 307 V8 and it starts right up every time. If you need more photos or anything let me know! I don't know much about it. I used the vin decoder and it's a 2wd V8 3/4 ton Wideside made in 1968 in Fremont, CA. 100kB max file size? This is gonna be harder than I thought... Last edited by Willys_MB; 04-06-2017 at 03:56 PM. Reason: fixed vehicle model in thread name |
