Rubber trailing arm bushing install

I picked up a nice set of trailing arms cheap on Craigslist. I cleaned them up and had them powdercoated. I now need to install new bushings and want to use the OEM style. Does it matter what side I press them in from? I didn't pay attention when I removed the old ones. Also Can I install them myself or should I take them to a shop with a press? Thanks!
