Hello all,
My name is Chris, Im 19 from Virginia Beach, VA and have been working on my dads 69 longbed since I was 5 years old. I am married to a wonderful woman that I have been going out with since the 9th grade, her name is Lisa. I finally stepped out and bought my first truck when I was 18 after I came back from leave from bootcamp. I bought a 70 Chevy, c-10, 1/2, shortbed, with an almost solid body on it except for a few rust holes on the fender lip of the left side fender. Its burgundy and has a 454 in it. The rear end is posi-traction and has a TH400 behind the block. I installed my new gauge cluster with brand new Auto Meter Silver faced gauges, installed the new $600 reupholstered seat, new carpet, door sill rails, stainless steel brake lines.

Im in the Marine Corps right now and stationed in Camp Fuji, Japan. Trying to go to Quantico, Va after this but will probably end up in Camp Lejuene, NC. Dad is back home with the truck as I send him money and parts to install. Nothin like paying your son back with free labor for all the years I spent under his ol truck. lol. Got him to get ready to install my new driveshaft, 3 inch exhaust from headers back with flowmasters, and and new 50 series BF Goodrich around my 12" deep X 15" tall Mickey Thompson Baja Deep Dish aluminum rims. I also ordered my new Hurst floor shifter to be installed while he's at it.

4 1/2 months until I get back home to the states to progress with my truck some more. Ive been looking all over this board for the past 2 years ever since I met "Randy70C-10" at another 67-72 owners house on my street while he was in his 30' Ford. A great site with tons of info, you guys have been much help in the past with everything. Thanks a bunch guys and gals!

Ill try to post pics ASAP, a little hard to do with being over here.
