ToonMan Out for the Count!!!

Since my Daughter Cassi has taken up basketball, my wife and I decided to dig out my Basketball hoop from behind our Garage Sale Filled Carport, and set it up where Cassi and her friends could use it. Because of it's location, it needed to be disassembled, lifted over a 6' Cyclone fence, and carried out through our neighbors front yard. Plan in place!!!
I set down an old milk crate and used it as a step to climb up on to the base to take down the backboard and rim. All was going well until my size 14 feet slipped off of their 4 inch square plastic perch. I fell down against the pole, then down onto the milk crate that was firmly in place up against one of the Garage Sale tables. My shin hit the crate HARD!!!!! I couldn't move my foot that was stuck between the crate and pole stand for 5 minutes!!! But eventually I got up, and continued to work, limping the whole time. Angie and our neighbor Bud both thought I should see a Doctor, but I knew I was OK!!
After the pole was re assembled, I jumped in my pickup and ran to the hardware store to get a net for the rim. Pushing the clutch in caused EXTREME pain!!!! I got to the store and walked in. A walk that was very painful!! I came home and told Angie that I thought I should go to the Doctor. I jumped in the shower got dressed and headed up.
We ended up spending 3 1/2 hours at the Urgent Care facility where I found out
that I BROKE MY LEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I fractured my left Fibula just below the knee. I couldn't have been more shocked!! Yes I knew it hurt, but Fractured!!!!!
The Doctor explained that when I hit the milk crate my foot slid to the bottom of the crate and my shin hit the solid edge, but with my foot wedged between the pole
stand and the crate, it caused a twisting motion, that snapped the bone!!!
Now I am at home on the computer instead of at work, and will be for a while!!!
So, If you know of anyone needing some Auto Art done.......I now seem to have the time!!!!!!!
I really did it this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
