Does anybody know the story on these turn signal switches??

Late last winter I noticed that Classic Parts was selling what look to be the original style turn signal switches with the RED emergency flasher trigger instead of the more modern round version.

On April 16 I placed an order for one of these switches (along with a few other bits and pieces) but the darn switch hasn't even gotten ON the boat to the US yet, much less shipped to my door.

I've also noticed that some of the other vendors have their turn signal switches on sale, as if they are trying to sell down their stock in anticipation of this more "correct" version.

Does anybody know the story on when we'll see these show up? I've placed a couple of calls to Classic Parts' non-customer service dept, and they are of zero help.

Thoughts?
