Personally, I always use the longer hoses on my half tons too as I like the added length for my usual suspension modifications.
I found out I had the same problem when I dropped my truck, no way was I going to drive it like that (there's a ton of pics and part numbers on the 2nd page):

Based on my research P/N FH03 also works (these are the ones I received from Kenny's Trucks) and is only $10 each through summit if you don't care about the 100% correct factory look.
