air ride wiring question

Hey all, I have been searching and searching and cant find the answer im looking for! I installed air ride on my 67 this weekend. but im not sure that ive wired it up correctly. here is my setup...

Manual valves.

single Viair compressor

pressure switch (installed on take)

Summit starter solenoid (instead of relay. model number SUM-G1750)

I have a wire that runs from the battery to the post on the starter solenoid (that was labeled for the battery)

I have the compressor power on the opposite post of the starter solenoid (labeled "jumper" or power source on starter if installed to a starter)
- compressor is also grounded to frame ( ground down a spot on frame)

I have a wire from the pressure switch to the solenoid that is labeled "start wire from ignition switch. the other side of the pressure switch is grounded to frame.

the solenoid mounting brackets are the grounds, i ground down a spot on the frame so it was a clean metallic surface.

There is another post on the solenoid labeled "wire to ignition coil"

my compressor didnt kick on when i touched the wire to the battery.

my question is should i have a wire that runs to the ignition at all? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
