Poly Trans Mount and Sway Bar mounts - need help

I'm in the process of rebuilding my truck - I bought a new Poly Trans Mount and poly sway bar bushings. I have a couple questions on them I am hoping you guys can help with. Energy Suspension makes these but doesn't include any information in the boxes when you buy them.

The Trans mount - it comes with an extra bar which doesn't seem to go anywhere. I tried sandwiching it between the transfer case and the mount and it didn't seem to fit well like that - I wonder if this is for some other application? The bar I am talking about is at bottom of picture.

The sway bar mounts seem to be too tall for the brackets - I have these bolts cranked down pretty good already. I wonder if I should throw some washers in here to take up the space?
