Burning 710

I think I'm burning a bit of oil which may indicate an engine rebuild, does anyone have any idea how much a shop might charge to rebuild an engine (350)? I know a whole lot of factors go into this. But just looking for a ball park figure. My 350 now is built up but not exactly sure with what cam, pistons etc. Would I be better off buying a new built 350 or having this one rebuilt? Thanks...
