Rear axle blocks.

So I got the tune on my '76 super dialed last night, and it's running like a monster. Even better than the day I test drove it. I'm actually amazed at how well the truck will get up and go. Now that all that is taken care of, it's time to move on to tailoring the look of the truck.

I noticed that there are two blocks, on each side, between the rear axle and the leaf springs. This truck is gonna get lowered, but not so much that I can't daily drive it. Can I remove these blocks without suffering any ill effects? Eventually I'll go with a flip kit and notch it if I have to, with helper bags of course. This would just be an easy cheap alternative to riding high until I get around to installing the actual drop kit.

Thanks in advance!
