Smile Wood Bed Stain & Hub Caps

Hello,

I'm a college student restoring a 1970 C10 with my friends...

We ordered a wood bed kit and wondering what is the best stain and glossy finish to treat the wood with.

Also since new wheels are so much money for us, we were thinking of sandblasting the current wheels down and painting red and putting moon hub caps on the wheels.
A couple questions with that...knowing they are 6 lug x 5.5inch...what size tires will fit with the stock wheels that are on it? also what size hub caps should we order?

I know these questions may pain some of you but we are new to this and loving restoring it so far! Thank you so much for the help in advance.

Also any advice on this project is greatly appreciated
