1966 C10 Fuel Line Size

Hello,
now I make/ install the new Fuel Line with the Fuel Filters, Fuel Pump, Gas Tank und the Carb (Edelbrock Performer 500cfm).

I would like to put a steel hard line in 5/16 from the Gas Tank to the First Fuel Filter Canister Style with 3/8 NPT inlet and outlet under the Cab. From the Filter with 5/16 Hard Line to the Fuel Pump (3/8 NPT inlet/ outlet). From the Fuel Pump with a 5/16 Hard Line to the second Fuel Filter and to the Carb with 3/8 Inlet.

Now my Question. Is it better to use compleate 3/8 Steel line from the Gas Tank and not 5/16 ? The Problem ist, that the Tank Sendig unit have a 5/16 Line and thread.

What is the best option with the Edelbrock Performer 500cfm. The old Carb was a 2 Barrel.

Thank you all verry verry much.

Greatings from Germany

Nils
