The thing with magnets is you still have to use adhesive. So, you have two possible failures, magnet or glue. The 3M (super?) weatherstrip adhesive did the trick for sure on the few I've done. I can check out in the shop because I always keep that stuff around. It's the yellow goo like contact cement, not the clear. It's good in heat because weatherstip gets hot.
