1970 C10 4x4 tire size???

Been awhile since I've been on here... I have a custom 52 Chevy half ton and a 1970 C10 4WD that I build in my spare time. I'm trying to pick out tires for my 1970 on my 15" rally wheels. I currently have 30's on it, which actually measure 29". Can I safely put 31"s??? I want to be able to use this as a daily driver AND go to the mountains with etc... Not extreme offroad BS, just be able to go on 2 tracks and mild dirt.
