Post T400 kickdown wiring question

I notice there are 2 wires that go to the switch on the intake to sense wide open. One is power I assume that comes from the fuse panel? The other is an orange wire that I think should be going down to one of the terminals on the tranny. Would I run a ground wire to the other terminal of the tranny? For whatever reason it is all missing.
