Question Another Edelbrock Carb Question

I have a NEW Edelbrock 1411 Carb. (750cfm w/ Elec. choke) going on an Existing Edelbrock Performer intake. The intake has a "Spreadbore" design and the Carb looks to have a "Squarebore". Now I am aware that usually you have to use an adaptor in these instances, but I was just curious if Edelbrock might have compensated for this, or will I have to use the adaptor as well (even though both are edelbrock components)?

I know this might be a stupid question, but I would appreciate any feedback from someone who has dealt with this before.

Thanks in advance....
